The meta-goal for 2050 is written as "The best quality of life for all inhabitants of Vienna, while minimizing the consumption of resources. This will be realized through comprehensive innovation." Our research at the University of Applied Sciences Technikum Wien deals with Smart City in a way to design and implement IT services that support the ideas of the Viennese strategy. In this paper we describe a Web-based tool that allows quantifying the quality of life for any specific address in Vienna. Therefore, we designed an algorithm that calculates an index based on specific categories for specific regions in Vienna. The determination of a concrete value is achieved by the use of Open Data. Here, we explain the algorithm, the used data catalogues, and we show the functionality within a prototype. Finally, we refer to further steps and developments.}, subject = {Smart City}, language = {en} } @inproceedings{TabakovicBululukovaWahl, author = {Tabakovic, Momir and Bululukova, Darya and Wahl, Harald}, title = {Smart Cities Education as Mobility, Energy \& ICT Hub}, series = {Proceedings of the 5th International Conference on Smart Cities and Green ICT Systems (SMARTGREENS) 2016}, booktitle = {Proceedings of the 5th International Conference on Smart Cities and Green ICT Systems (SMARTGREENS) 2016}, subject = {Smart City}, language = {de} } @inproceedings{WahlSchlagerMichalitschetal., author = {Wahl, Harald and Schlager, Jorg and Michalitsch, Markus and Lindmaier, Christoph and Ruttner, Georg F. and Mense, Alexander}, title = {Quantifying the Quality of Life Using IT and Open Data}, series = {3rd Global Conference on Engineering and Technology, Contemporary Issues in Engineering \& Technology Research (CIETR 2017), Bangkok, Thailand, December 4-5, 2017}, booktitle = {3rd Global Conference on Engineering and Technology, Contemporary Issues in Engineering \& Technology Research (CIETR 2017), Bangkok, Thailand, December 4-5, 2017}, pages = {4 -- 5}, subject = {Smart City}, language = {en} } @misc{BululukovaWahlBallner, author = {Bululukova, Darya and Wahl, Harald and Ballner, Mathias}, title = {European Academic Smart Cities Network - Renewable Urban Energy Systems, Sustainable Mobility and ICT Technology Nexus for Smart Cities Studies}, subject = {Smart City}, language = {en} } @misc{Wahl, author = {Wahl, Harald}, title = {International scientific network building for smart cities}, subject = {Smart City}, language = {en} } @inproceedings{BululukovaWahl, author = {Bululukova, Darya and Wahl, Harald}, title = {Towards a sustainable smart cities integration in teaching and research}, series = {Proceedings of Smart Cities and Green ICT Systems (Smart Greens 2015)}, booktitle = {Proceedings of Smart Cities and Green ICT Systems (Smart Greens 2015)}, subject = {Smart City}, language = {en} } @inproceedings{BululukovaWahlBallner, author = {Bululukova, Darya and Wahl, Harald and Ballner, Mathias}, title = {European Academic Smart Cities Network - Renewable Urban Energy Systems, Sustainable Mobility and ICT Technology Nexus for Smart Cities Studies}, series = {Proceedings of the REAL CORP 2014}, booktitle = {Proceedings of the REAL CORP 2014}, pages = {207 -- 215}, subject = {Smart City}, language = {en} } @misc{BululukovaWahl, author = {Bululukova, Darya and Wahl, Harald}, title = {Towards a sustainable smart cities integration in teaching and research}, subject = {Smart City}, language = {en} }
